One of the world's greatest husbands and dads, Gary Des Roches, passed away on Monday, April 23rd, 2007. He was 71. We already miss him horribly but are very grateful that he went quickly and without pain -- as he wanted.
There will be a memorial service on Friday, April 27th at 2:00 at All Hallows Church in La Jolla. 6602 La Jolla Scenic Drive South, 92037.
We will have a viewing and rosary on Sunday, April 29th (viewing from 12 to 4 PM with a rosary at 3:00 PM) at Pierce Daly Mortuary in Anaheim. 2425 W Lincoln Ave.,

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Marriott Residence Inn Anaheim Hills (next to Mike and Michelle's house in Anaheim Hills) under the name Mike Des Roches, for Saturday April 28th and Sunday April 29th. Here's a tentative schedule for this upcoming weekend, just to make sure that we all get to spend some time together seeing as everyone is making such a wonderful effort to come celebrate Gary/Dad.
Please note that the Marriott Residence Inn is approximately 20 minutes east of the funeral home, the church, Georgian Browne's house, and Mexi-Casa restaurant.
FYI, the weather in Anaheim during the next few days will mostly sunny, with highs in the low 80's, lows in the mid 50's, and very low humidity. (That's no higher than 30 degrees and no lower than 12 degrees for you metric-loving Canadians.) Specifics: Anaheim Weather for April 28 - 30

My sincere condolences on Gary's passing. Although he has physically departed, his kind soul lives on. I'm sure he has been given a grand pair of wings for his service to the lord.

Dear Mary Pat,
I was on my way to see Pat in Toronto when Joy told me of your dear husband's passing. Pat's Bill passed away May 15 after many years of kidney disease. He was 72. Both too young. Sending you my sympathy and prayers.
